Meet Madz

Hi and welcome to URBeautiful Ladies Fitness
URBLF is my dream come true!
As a child I was always the “chubby one” and as I went into my teens and 20’s I yoyo'ed dramatically between being overweight and underweight. Always being the one with 2 left feet and no good at sport!


There was one type of exercise I did enjoy though and that was Aerobics!
In my 30’s I completely withdrew into myself and my weight and fitness had dramatically has worsened. That’s when I found my first Rosemary Conley class. I loved being part of a group of ladies that wanted to feel fit and healthy.


I got fit,I got healthy and then qualified to teach exercise to music, Zumba, PT, Nutrition, Pilates, Yoga, Bootcamp, Boxercise and so much more!


Now in my 50’s I have found my happy place … still fighting my weight!... But loving my life! URBeautiful Ladies really are the most amazing ladies and it is my honour and privilege to be training them to be fitter, stronger & happier too.

I came to Fitness 4 years ago, 6 months before I went to Ibiza on holiday where I wanted a flat stomach. If someone had told me that a year later I would have trained as a Shadow Boogie Bounce instructor I’d have told them they had spelt Bar wrong.

​

Nevertheless here I am, qualified Fitness Instructor teaching Boogie Bounce (and Pound) studying Pilates and hoping to motivate someone to get off their couch today. I am very excited to be part of URBeautiful Ladies Fitness with Madz and all the beautiful ladies.

I've been in the fitness world as a participant for about 20years but recently taken my passion for fitness to the next level and qualified as a level 3 PT/fitness instructor.

My fitness journey has been a roller coaster ride, one minute I'm in the zone and the next I'm on the sofa not wanting to move. But having a good support network is very important to help me get back on the rids as quickly as possible and having more highs than lows.

I'm so grateful to have the opportunity to work with the URBeautiful fitness team and the lovely members. I look forward to helping you on your journey to achieve your health and Fitness goals

Hi, I'm Ellie.

Nice to meet you all! I love sport and fitness.

I was always the girl at school who played football with the boys. I swam for Kettering (I wasn't the best) and I managed to achieve playing in goal for Northampton Town FC. Fitness has always been important to me as I was never really academic. I went to college not knowing what I really wanted to achieve in life. I ended up becoming a lifeguard for 2 years before realising I wanted to pursue a career in Fitness. I then decided to go back to college to become a Gym Instructor and gained a job working with children doing sports within schools. I met Madz a few years ago. She saw potential in me to become part of her team and I am very grateful for this opportunity. I am looking forward to working with all you URBeautiful ladies in achieving your goals and putting smiles on your faces.

Annie

I am Annie the team member you never see. I am in the background doing stuff!

I am the club Nutritionist and general computer person.

Many moons ago whilst working as a chef, I took a degree in computer science just for jolly’s with the OU. So, I can cook, and work a computer.

After my children, I put on a LOT of weight, yes, that much! and I joined a fitness class, that was where my love of keeping fit came from. I trained to be a fitness instructor taking my ETM exam in 2012.

 

Whilst at the class I got fitter but my weight didn’t move. I was sent to see many dieticians and the final straw for me was I was sent to see a stick thin child who asked me if I had considered not eating chips every day, and that salad could be quite nice (insert your own expletive here!)

That was it. I went home fuming said to my Husband and my Mum these people have no idea what the real world is like or what it is like to be overweight. They said, well show them and train, I did. My Mum paid for my nutrition degree and I qualified 6 years ago.

 

I am now Nutritionist and VA to over 35 fitness instructors nationwide, and over 10 thousand members read my recipes and newsletter content every week, But I am always here if you have a question, something you don’t understand or just need some general advice. I am always at the end of an email.

I love what I do, and I am here with the rest of the URBeautiful team to help you the become the best version of you, you can be.

Classes

We use Teamup for class booking click the button, to book in NOW!

KickStart Program

Our 10 week transformation programme is designed for ladies new to exercise, returning to exercise or needing some extra help! 

you will recieve a specific 


Along with those workouts you will also receive a workout to do every day.
You will be invited to an induction the Sunday before kickstart begins. Here we will measure your weight, body mass index, bodyfat, bone density. We will check your metabolic age and measure you from top to bottom.

We will also set you 3 workout challenges. Come in your gym kit, Don't panic! It takes 3 minutes, and you won't be asked to do anything that will hurt you.


We will do these again on week 4 and week 8 to calculate your progression.

If you need guidance with losing or gaining weight, we can help you with that too.

Our own in house nutritionist has develped our 70/30 intermittent fasting plan that is updated with new recipes every month and she is always on hand to answer any questions.


Training yourself to exercise and eat well is only 2 parts of the whole picture.

You also need to train your mind to set goals and keep them. We help you with this too! 
You will also receive a weekly challenge to focus on, for example this could be drink more water or sleep more. However, we don't just tell you to do it but we explain why.


I and the Instructors, that work at URBeautiful Ladies Fitness are totally dedicated to you. 

We do not just empathize, we sympathise. We know what it is like to feel overwhelmed, anxious, out of control, body conscious and all those other feelings you may have at the moment. We will keep you accountable so, YOU can be responsible.
